Acting and Scene Study - Marietta Center for the Arts

This 8 week class is for committed, experienced actors (age 18+) who wish to flex their acting muscles and refine their craft. Starting from existing foundations of technique, participants will consider physical life, emotional life and character development through text analysis, improvisation, warm up exercises with paired scene partners to explore the actors’ instrument in a safe and playful environment. Class size is restricted to 12-16 actors. A final
showcase is possible, but the emphasis is discovering strengths and weaknesses, NOT performance.
