An Update from our Board of Directors
The Marietta Center for the Arts: Home of Susquehanna Stage will be closed to the public until April 30, 2020. Currently scheduled performances, classes, and rehearsals will be postponed to a later date to be determined. By postponing and closing the Marietta Center for the Arts, we are following the lead of our local, state, and federal governments as well as the recommendations of the Department of Health and the Centers of Disease Control (CDC). It is our goal to keep everyone as healthy as possible and do our part in not spreading the COVID-19 virus. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation and follow CDC recommendations in regard to the safety and health of all patrons, staff, and volunteers.
Current ticket holders for the remaining performances of THE LAST FIVE YEARS will be contacted and have the opportunity to keep their tickets for the future scheduled show, or receive a ticket voucher for any production in our 2020 season. Ticket donations to our theater will also be gratefully accepted.
Although our lights on stage will go dark, the spirit of the arts in Marietta will remain burning brightly. We thank all of our patrons, actors, and volunteers for their support and understanding over the next two weeks. We will provide updates regarding our show postponement and building closure through our email list and social media accounts.
This is a difficult time for all of us—financially and emotionally. We wish you the best and thank you for your continued support of our education programs and Susquehanna Stage theater productions.
